Critics Lose Minds, Hail Teen Version of Literary Masterpiece as 'Good Movie.

By the Exaggerated Press

NEW YORK (EP) -- In a move that has shocked moviegoers the world over, critics have unanimously praised Columbia Pictures' "teen" version of Harriet Beecher Stowe's 1852 classic Uncle Tom's Cabin, entitled "Mo' Homework, Mo' Problems," as a 'decent film.'

Akron Sun Times film critic Barry Nupenwald even made it his "Flick Pick", writing, "Mo Homework, Mo' Problems strikes at the heart of every major issue concerning teenage life in the 90's. Its script rivals Titanic, and its cinematography is surely on par with Tootsie."

Coming on the heels of teen movie versions of "Emma" and "Dangerous Liasons," "Mo' Homework, Mo' Problems shows few elements of the original bestseller, which helped propel the US into its blockbuster Civil War. "MH, MP" recasts Eliza as a budding Brandy-like diva, and Simon LeGree as an unscrupulous record producer.
